Our Mission
The New York State Tobacco Dependence Resource Center aims to provide New York's chemical dependency service providers, policy makers, and researchers with cutting-edge scientific resources and support on integrating tobacco dependence interventions into chemical dependency treatment.
About the New York State Tobacco Dependence Resource Center
Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Providers of New York State operates the Center with funding from the New York State Department of Health Division of Chronic Disease Prevention and Adult Health. With a three-year Promising Interventions in Tobacco Control grant, we are studying how a web-based intervention affects chemical dependency provider knowledge, skills, motivation, and behavior regarding the integration of tobacco dependence interventions into chemical dependency treatment.
