Topics include:
 
 
  1. Overview of the Tobacco Interventions Project
     
  2. Tobacco Facts
     
  3. Interventions to Stop Using Tobacco—the “5As” of Tobacco Interventions
     
  4. Youth Tobacco Recovery
     
  5. Interventions and Environmental Strategies to Prevent Initiation of Tobacco Use
     
  6. Complying with Part 856 of OASAS Regulations
 
Times/Dates:  See www.tobaccorecovery.eventbrite.com.  
 
Format:  Self-study and participation in an Internet forum during the 4-day workshop period, for a total of about 6 hours.  Participation is possible any time, 24 hours per day.
 
 
Who Should Participate:  Addiction professionals, volunteers, EAP Professionals and others who work with substance abuse prevention or information & referral; students preparing to enter the field of addiction counseling or prevention
 
Suggested Prerequisite:  None.  However, you are strongly encouraged to participate in the other workshops listed at www.tobaccorecovery.eventbrite.com.
