Community Response to DOH RFA: Integrating Tobacco Use Interventions in New York State Chemical Dependency Services
The New York State Department of Health Bureau of Tobacco Use Prevention and Control is making available $2.5 million over two years to provide training and technical assistance to 10,000 people in the addiction workforce to implement tobacco control policies and integrate clinical interventions for tobacco dependence into OASAS-certified Chemical Dependence Treatment Programs.This represents the largest single investment in training an addiction workforce on tobacco use interventions ever made by any funding source, public or private.
